Dispositif pour une perception élargie, 2023. Nerea Gil and collaborators. Video installation 2’50”. Monitor, carpet, correspondence, and postcard display stand, variable dimensions. Exhibition Terra Ferma, 2023. Galerie HCE, Saint-Denis, FR.
Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, this project originated from a workshop with the artist Jimena Croceri and was inspired by Baptiste Morizot’s text Une crise de la sensibilité. It is based on a postal exchange in which postcards were sent with open instructions inviting participants to respond freely through texts, drawings, collages, videos, or other forms.
The installation presents these contributions through two elements: a video that digitally reinterprets the responses and a wall display showing the physical materials. Postcards are also available for visitors to take, encouraging them to continue the exchange.
The work explores forms of communication, presence, and co-creation at a distance, highlighting how collective creation can emerge from simple acts of response and connection.
A collaborative project with: Miguel Pozo, Miguel Rodriguez, Marc Lafitte, Marina Suárez, Lycantho, Morgana Horst, Montserrat Aránega, Samy Barret, J. S. Hubert, G. Quidet, Maira Teixeira de Farias, Esther Truzmán, Esther Muñoz, Kamel Ziane, and Loreto Sotelo.
